In the letter below from 1966, Maulana Abdul Haq Vidyarthi writes about a road accident in the inner city area of Lahore in which he was knocked unconscious and taken to hospital.

The last sentence in this letter, written as a postscript, translates as follows:

“The thought came to my mind again and again that if Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Ali were alive, he would not only have come to ask after me many times but would have brought doctors with him.”
