About this website

This website has been created to provide a record, as complete as possible, of the life, work and writings of Maulana Abdul Haq Vidyarthi. It is at an early stage of construction as yet. In one of its sections, Urdu articles written by the Maulana, mostly published in the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement paper Paigham Sulh, are being provided in the form of images of the relevant pages from the original publications. Much of this vast material, spanning about sixty years from 1915 to the 1970s, has not been publicly available since the first publication of the original magazines. Books written by the Maulana were already available online at the central website of the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement www.aaiil.org, and have been copied here from that website.

A personal note from the creator of this website

Maulana Abdul Haq Vidyarthi was my maternal grandfather and I was privileged to benefit from his close company at various times till the age of 25 years. This relationship does not, of course, confer any merit on me, but I need to mention it since it would give the readers greater assurance as to the accuracy and reliability of this website. Some of the information about the Maulana and his work and life provided here is based on my direct knowledge through having seen and been in the company of the Maulana.
